(Singing:) "A new move of God is being born . . ."
Let's give the Lord a wonderful handclap of praise tonight. Hallelujah. Oh, wonderful is the Lord. (Tongues)
Let's worship the Lord together right now.
We bless You, Lord. We bless You, Lord. We bless You, Lord. Wonderful is the Lord. Hallelujah, hallelujah . . . Bless the wonderful Name of the Lord. Hallelujah.
(Singing:) "You will know it by His Spirit, you will know it by the Word. There's a new move of God being born."
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You may be seated. (Singing:) "By my testimony and the Blood of the Lamb, I'll overcome . . ."
I'm glad the Lord has overcome. Oh, hallelujah. Amen. He's the Overcomer.
Let's remain standing and turn in our Bibles tonight to the Book of Deuteronomy, chapter 13. Deuteronomy 13.
While you're turning there, we want to welcome all the wonderful saints of God who are joining us on the Internet. They were having a bit of a problem there. But maybe they've got it all taken care of. I hope so.
Let's just thank the Lord for every one of those. Hallelujah.
Deuteronomy, chapter 13.
We've worked really hard this week. The staff has worked to transcribe everything that has been preached in the last six services. It's all been transcribed. I've edited it all by hand. And two of the services are available tonight already. The rest of them would have been available if we would have just had a little more time.
"What's ready tonight?" This was the first Saturday night and Sunday when we came back - "Eyes to See and Ears to Hear - Part 1 and Part 2."
It's edited and ready, and by next Sunday, by next Saturday night, everything, all six services . . .
Only because I know that the Lord was here with real revelation from His Throne, then I encourage you to get Tuesday night's tape. It will be here next Saturday.
And I read it this week twice all the way through. And there is revelation in there that has never been preached here before. So we want to get it and listen to it because God was speaking.
It is so wonderful to see Sister Huckaby. Isn't it just wonderful to see her? And she looks so good. She looks strong and pretty. Praise the Lord for making a way for her to be here tonight.
Ah, well, we're just so glad to see you looking good. Amen. I know you've been through a hard time.
Brother West has come down for the weekend. And God willing, if everything goes well, we'll make the closing on Monday for the property.
And we just thank God that it didn't slip away from us. The Lord has made a way for us to have it. And it didn't slip away from us. And there are still details that need to be worked out, but it's not going anywhere. Praise God.
So I would say that God has performed an outstanding miracle for the ministry. We want to thank Him for that right now. Hallelujah.
All right. I'll try not to hold you too extremely long tonight. This is a very serious subject. And there's a challenge among Holy Ghost-filled people.
Well, we have lots of challenges that we face every day. Sometimes when I hear people testify . . .
Be honest with you, sometimes when I hear people testifying about their struggles and their battles and what they're going through, I do feel sorry for them. I feel spiritual compassion for them. I really do.
But I understand that many people struggle the way they do because they have not learned our position and our rest. And there is rest.
Now, you know, God did something when He ordained the Sabbath. It was God who ordained the Sabbath day.
It's one of the most important things that God did in the whole Bible. And you may not understand that, but it is.
And we talked Tuesday night . . . You won't be standing but a minute.
We talked Tuesday night about the Law of First Mention. And one of the first things mentioned in the Bible is that God labored for six days making the earth and then on the seventh day, He instituted a day of rest.
And that theme goes so heavy through the Old Testament, doesn't it? Did you know that all of the prophets of the Old Testament . . . they went so far as to pronounce a curse on people who didn't honor and remember that God had established a day of rest?
A lot of people are looking at me crazy. But you can hardly read a book in the Bible, including the Psalms, that doesn't stress and emphasize the importance of a Sabbath day.
Did you know medical doctors have said that the Sabbath is one of the best health tools that anybody could do other than exercise and eating properly. To give your body twenty-four hours of rest and relaxation and spiritual reflection heals the body.
But they have found out that twenty-four hours of rest and relaxation actually attacks the enzymes of the body that produce inflammation.
And did you know that medical doctors say that almost every disease in the body is either directly or indirectly caused from inflammation in the body and that ninety-something percent of all people carry inflammation chronically in their body somewhere.
Can be in the skin. It can be all the way deep. It can be in the intestines, in the colon, in the stomach. The heart can have inflammation. The lungs. Bones can become inflamed - the connected tissues around the bones.
And they say that heart disease and forms of cancer and all these other terrible diseases, including hyper-tension and diabetes . . . it's all products of inflammation.
And that the body could control inflammation eating a better diet and taking one day of rest - real relaxation and rest.
And yet people refuse to do it. They won't do it. They absolutely will not do it. They refuse to do it. And so, then, okay. What do they want?
They want to be prayed for all the time. They always want somebody praying for them for God to heal them when they have been given . . .
We've been given a way to help our bodies heal themselves by the power of the Creator. And we refuse to accept it.
I don't care how you look at me. Really, honestly, it's nothing but the truth. We saw it all through the Old Testament.
All right. And then all of a sudden we see the New Testament, and we see the Lord Jesus becoming our Sabbath rest. Amen.
He became the mascot. He became the emblem. He became the symbol of the Sabbath.
He didn't do away with it. He fulfilled it. He made it full. And He became our rest.
And I believe that a lot of Christians today cannot enter into the rest of their redemption and their relationship with God because they refuse to see the importance of the whole concept that God has set up in His Word.
We need a day to rest our minds and our bodies. We need a day to do that. And God has given us a good opportunity to do that.
So I really believe that it's spiritual.
Somebody said, "Don't you believe the Sabbath is spiritual today?" Absolutely, it's spiritual.
But until you see the importance physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually of the physical Sabbath, you don't seem to be able to get how God has established a rest.
"There is a rest for the people of God."
You know, I don't like to have my rest disturbed. When I'm resting . . . Be seated, please.
When I'm resting, I like to rest. And I don't like to have my rest disturbed. I'm not a napper. I could, but I don't.
And the reason why I don't take a nap is because I'm one of those people that if I ever get into a sleep and I get interrupted, I wake up feeling worse than I did before I took a nap.
I don't like my rest to be interrupted. I don't like for my telephone to ring before 7 o'clock in the morning.
The truth be told, I'd prefer it didn't ring until eight or eight-thirty, even though I'm up. Unless it's an emergency, don't see any reason to call people that early in the morning - no reason for it.
Nine o'clock at night, unless there's an emergency . . . Unless somebody's got an emergency, a real need, I don't see any reason to call anybody after nine o'clock at night. I don't like it when these telemarketers call late.
Have you ever had them? We don't have them as much any more because we registered. But have you ever had them call at ten o'clock at night? I have. And I'll say, "Do you know what time it is?"
And they'll say, "Well, I'm in California."
I said, "Well, I don't care where you are. Where you're calling, it's ten o'clock at night. And you need to be mindful of that."
I like to put our children . . . when they're at home they go to bed at nine o'clock. And before they go to bed at nine, we spend ten or fifteen minutes praying with them. And I don't like for that to be disturbed.
I like for people to be mindful of the fact that I have a family and a home life. I like for people to show respect.
You think I'm getting' on to you, don't you? You've missed it - again.
But I mean every word that's come out of my mouth. Everything that I've just said, I mean it. I believe in respecting people. I believe in respecting people's privacy and the fact that they have a life.
I don't believe in calling people at home, unless it's a real serious thing, within one hour of trying to come to church.
I don't bother you because I know that you've got things to do to get ready to get out the door, because some people see the need of being at church on time.
Some people don't have that revelation. That's why they couldn't possibly sit in the Lord's lap. They don't even have a revelation of how God sets some little simple codes and orders of ethics in our life - that we just prepare early and we get to God's house on time. And we put other things aside so that we can put God first.
Somebody say, "Amen."
So I don't call people when I know they're rushin' around to get their clothes on or to dress their children and try to get to the house of God.
I hate cell phones. People use cell phones to talk on the way somewhere. I counted the other day when I was driving down the road every person that I saw in a car talking on the cell phone.
On my way into town, I counted twenty-two people from my house to Columbus talking on the cell phone - twenty-two people.
And I think they're very handy to have in an emergency and a good situation. But what did we do without them? We just waited till we got there, or we waited till we got home and we called people.
Technology . . . (I'm going to preach. I've been preaching.)
Technology is running our lives. It's running us. We spend too much time programming our lives, programming our gadgets for everyday life.
God wants us to simplify. Technology is supposed to make things simpler. And it does for some people. But in most cases for me, it makes things more complicated.
I like my rest. God ordained it. I don't like for my rest to be disturbed. Do you get that? Do you understand what I'm trying to say?
The Lord Jesus has given us a rest. There is a rest that belongs to the people of God. It is mine.
"Perfect peace, shalom, will I give to them whose mind is stayed on Me."
I don't like to have my rest, my peace, disturbed. God has made me a promise that if I keep my mind on Him, He will let me be at rest. He will let me be at peace.
I don't like for my rest and my peace to be disturbed. I like for people to respect my rest. I like for people to respect my peace. We need to learn to respect peace and rest in one another's life, spiritually.
We're at spiritual rest now. If you are still struggling to survive as a Christian, you are missing something big.
And that big thing is revelation. Because when we receive a revelation of how we have been given rest in Him . . .
It's like last Sunday morning. We recognize that He has made us worthy. We don't go around saying, "I'm worthy, I'm worthy, I'm worthy, I'm worthy."
But we can go around saying, "He has made me worthy. The Blood of the Lord has made me worthy. The grace of Jesus Christ has made me worthy. The divine favor of the Lord has made me worthy."
And He doesn't want me on my face telling Him all night long how unworthy I am. He wants me on my face thanking Him that He has made me worthy, that He has given me His grace. He has pardoned me. Amen. And I have received my pardon.
And the Lord doesn't like it when somebody tries to disturb my rest. The Lord doesn't like it when somebody tries to disturb my peace in Him.
And do you know how we disturb one another? By trying to bring people into our expectation. When you try to bring somebody into your expectation of them, you may be disturbing the rest and the peace that has been given to them in the Messiah.
You may be interfering with a beautiful work of God's grace in their lives. We need to let the Lord have His way with His children. We need to be careful what spirit we carry.
Just be honest. I'm just talking to you here.
Because we may pick up a spirit and bring it somewhere and disturb somebody's peace in the Spirit.
There's about three of you that got it - probably. I'm just guessing by that blank look on most of your faces.
You can let a spirit piggy-back on you, and you can carry it into an equation and literally rip somebody's peace apart - disturb the peace in somebody's life because of a spirit that you carry.
And I'm preaching this because a few people came into this meeting tonight very ill prepared to have a visitation from the Lord. And you've disturbed my peace.
And I want to call it to your attention because I know that you're as excited about what God is doing as I am.
And I know that you don't want to add something to the mix that's going to . . . You know one ingredient out of place, missing or added, you know . . .
It's not like . . . You can change the flavoring on the cake, but maybe you shouldn't change the kind of flour you use.
Maybe you shouldn't change eggs and egg substitutes. There are some things you might not ought to add to the mixture. You should follow the recipe. Amen?
This is one of the reasons why it is so important that we prepare ourselves.
Now, it's a little bit difficult for me to prepare myself right before the service because there's a lot of people who come in. And we are having coffee, and we're enjoying one another's fellowship. And it's a little bit hard.
And that's why I make an extra effort myself to try to beat the crowd and prepare the minute I get here. I try to be careful that I don't go straight to my e-mail because that can hold me up for an hour or more.
But I try to prepare myself then as much as I possibly can . . . don't always succeed . . . because I know that things are going to get hectic in a little while. And I know that I need to be prepared for a visitation from the Lord.
One person bringing something into the mixture that doesn't belong can disturb the peace. And we don't want to do that.
I'm sorry that you're looking at me the way you are, but I don't take it back. In fact, I back up and I'm going to preach it again.
It doesn't matter how you struggle. It doesn't matter how you feel. It doesn't matter how unwanted, unappreciated, or whatever else this stuff is that you carry around.
You need to make sure that when you come into this house, you leave all those little impish things somewhere else, because you want to come here, as Brother Branham taught us, and add your lick of fire to the atmosphere that's already building. You don't want to do anything to disturb the peace.
"Lord, help me not to disturb the peace."
This peace is important. Six days He labored. On the seventh day He rested.
God doesn't ever want you standing in the store again worrying and fretting and troubling over what to wear to put on your body.
The Bible tells us that's wrong. The Bible tells us that we shouldn't worry about our raiment. God's going to give us something to cover our bodies, isn't He? Amen.
I'm not stretching the verse. He clothes the lilies in the field. God will make sure that you get your underarms covered up.
He'll make a way somehow. It may not be the prettiest. It may not be by designer. It may not be the most fashionable. But God will help you get covered up if you're desperate for some clothes to wear.
And He doesn't want you standing there fretting yourself over whether somebody is going to criticize you or judge you or condemn you. And you get all worked up and all religious. And you forget about the peace.
And if this sounds like compromise to you, you can meet your new pastor. Because I am so tired of that worrying, struggling, fretting religious spirit that hinders the move of God.
We need to be led by the Spirit. And if you've got the Holy Ghost, you don't have to think . . .
People literally are going to the store, and they think, "Wonder what Brother Shelley would think about that. Wonder what so-and-so would think about that? I wonder what somebody would think about that."
You know, that's not what you need to be worried about. You need to be worried about what the Holy Spirit . . .
You need to worry about showing your fanny to the rest of the world. That's what you need to be concerned about.
And the Spirit of God will help you to know. And you've been given husbands, some of you, to help you to know when you're putting something on that's not becoming.
But don't you try to bring somebody else under your interpretation or your idea. You'll disturb the peace. You'll disturb somebody's peace. God wants you resting. I mean that, brother. It's Bible.
"You mean God doesn't want me to dress holy?"
He wants you to dress holy. He doesn't want your hips and curves and swerves accentuated. It's ridiculous for a woman to wear something close and tight across her bosom. It's ridiculous.
It makes you look like a . . . You know what it makes you look like. Your husband doesn't need to see you that way. He gets to see you the other way. He doesn't need to see you that way.
That's not something he needs to survive. He gets to see you the other way. And neither do other people. Nobody wants to see godly women with their bodies accentuated.
It's not those people who will dress like that I'm talking to. I'm talking to people who already have a godly standard, and they worry themselves, fret themselves, to death nearly over these things.
And you have disturbed the peace of the Messiah in your life. You need to follow, as Brother Branham taught us, the leadership of the Holy Ghost.
He will teach you how to dress. He will teach you how to walk. He will teach you how to talk. He'll teach you how to treat one another. And He's teaching you. He is your teacher.
You are not the authority here. The Holy Spirit is the authority here. He's the One teaching us and leading us and directing us.
I don't want the peace that the Holy Ghost is establishing in my heart disturbed. We're building to something, building to something. I love it.
If I sound like I'm angry, I'm not angry. But I am disturbed when people come into the meeting place ill prepared for a visitation from the Lord. Because we had one of the sweetest Presence of God in the praise and worship tonight that we've had in a long time.
It was just sweet, just sweet, precious, flowing and lovely, and wonderful and glorious. And we could easily miss the atmosphere that God's building for us if we come in with all that other old stuff.
"Did you see that? Did you see her? Did you see him? Blah blah blah. On and on, and on and on . . ."
And somebody said, "Well, if I carry that, I don't know I carry it." I don't believe that. I'm not buying that any more. I believe we do know sometimes that we carry the wrong spirit.
We want to get it worked out because we want to please God because this is serious business - serious business.
Well, they had a wonderful service in Jerusalem both nights. The last night, I guess Thursday night, Paul Keith Davis preached.
And he had a lot of time to have fellowship and talk with Sister Nancy. She told him a lot of details, a lot of things that have happened.
And he had a wonderful anointing, a wonderful Presence of the Lord in the meeting.
And while they were praying and working in the anointing and releasing the anointing over the people, just outside, a little piece near the university, a bomber was stopped. Just a few blocks away, a bomber was stopped and arrested with a bomb strapped on - ready to go somewhere and do damage.
So those angels . . . Sister Nancy said that Paul Keith Davis was talking about these gathering angels. And he got really choked up. And he has . . .
I've heard him say before . . . I've been in his presence several times. He doesn't like to be emotional in front of people. He's an odd sort of fellow that way. He doesn't . . .
But he got choked up when he was preaching - really choked up in his voice and tears were in his eyes. He was talking about . . .
He talked about that great commissioning that took place on the Ohio River, and several things, and how they're coming into play in this hour.
And all of a sudden, he said, "I believe they're here. I believe those angels have just come in." And there was a definite change in the atmosphere and people were blessed.
And I'm so excited about it because he called it a releasing of the breakthrough anointing in Jerusalem.
And I praise God for that because we're seeing a way prepared for revival to return to where it started. I appreciate that so much.
There are great connections being made in the Spirit - big things that are just big.
Okay, let's stand tonight.
(Oops, it's eight o'clock. I should be dismissing, huh? Wrong.)
Numbers would be a good place to start, but I'm going to start in Deuteronomy.
Deuteronomy, chapter 13, verse 1.
1. If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2. And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3. Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Did you hear that? It's a test. God is testing us to see what we're in love with. Pentecost failed the test. She was in love with the gifts that had been restored, but she was not in love with the Giver. She failed the test.
But I want to tell you tonight, there's going to be a Bride or a Bridal company that will not fail the test, who love dreams, who love prophecies, who love visions, who love signs and wonders.
But what we love more than that is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of Almighty God made flesh. We're in love with the Giver of the gifts. We're in love with the One who inspires the dreams. This is what we love. We're being tested as Israel was.
1. If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2. And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3. Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
4. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him . . .
Walk after Him and fear Him . . .
4. . . . and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
Look at all that. Look at it.
4. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
There is a test on the horizon. The Lord spoke to me about it in Jerusalem. There is a test on the horizon. God is getting ready to determine who is mature in the Spirit.
It's the litmus test for spiritual maturity. We're about to come into that hour if we're not there already. I think we may have been there for a couple of weeks now.
God is going to let us go to that test.
And verse 5 . . . and we'll close with that. I mean, we'll close the Scripture.
5. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death . . .
Given another chance? Not according to this Word - put to death.
5. . . . because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
That is a heavy duty Word for prophets, isn't it?
Father, how we thank You tonight for the Word of the Lord. We thank You for what You're doing. We thank You for the peace that You have given us in Your Word.
Oh, glory to God. The rest of the promise . . . You've called us before Your Throne. You've given us a place to lay our heads, and we're grateful.
Bind the hand of the enemy tonight and the devil that seeks to disturb our peace. And speak to us from Your Word. BaShem Adonai Yeshua HaMashiach. Amen and amen.
You may be seated.
Wonderful words and comments and e-mails are coming in on both ministries. And on top of that, some are unsubscribing.
And one preacher, I think from India, was condemning. And he said all these visions and dreams and angels and things, we're using them to raise money.
Well, I wished it would work that way almost. I wished that it would increase finances, and perhaps one day it will. But that certainly could not be our motive because God just takes care of us.
I tell you I was some more concerned how we were going to get it before the devil got it. And it was no reason to be troubled because God already had something in mind.
He knows what He's doing. We didn't even have to beg to get it. We need a machine that's going to cost about $1700. And I believe it's going to be provided for.
You tell me you're excited about what God's doing? Let's see how excited we are. Amen. Amen.
I tell you, I am so tired of God's stuff and His business and His program being handled carelessly when His business is the most important business in all the world. Getting the Word of God to the nations of the world is the most important thing. I don't have the brains and the genius to do it, but God has people that do.
And until He brings them in, He's got people right here that have gifts and talents in that direction that need to be working toward that end. And we need to be working toward that end carefully and quickly because I believe that God is about to do something big.
What God is doing is He is sending forth His Message and His Word to make contact with those who are His Bride. And when they get under that anointing, they're going to have to come to Him and come to His Word.
They're not going to have to come to a Message Church to get God because they may have to hunt Him if they got there. But what they are going to have to do is come to the Truth.
And so it's not going to them as though they're fixing to get a monopoly on it and the people that have stood for it and faithfully held on to it are going to lose it. That is not what I said. And that is not what I believe.
And somebody said, "Isn't this good news that God's raising up people to tell . . ."
Listen. Brother Branham's name is being written in more books today than it's ever been before in a positive way.
His name was mentioned in this month's edition of Charisma Magazine in a positive way. Every author that's written anything about the prophetic or the gifted or the spiritual realm is mentioning Brother Branham's name.
And more and more . . . It used to be always caboosed with this negative disclaimer. But more and more, they're leaving the negative alone - just leaving it in God's hands.
I don't want you to miss what I'm saying here. Because it's very, very important what God is about to do. He's waving this thing. You see, this is a firstfruits demonstration. And it's clear that a lot of people don't have an understanding or revelation of what firstfruits is.
But firstfruits is the first to come to spiritual maturity. And that is not the rakings and the scrapings. That is the elite. That is the chosen of the Lord.
And God is doing that. He is raising up forerunners, and He's letting this Word get into people that have never heard the Word before - I mean in the fullness that they're hearing it in now.
To think all of a sudden that prophetic people, and Pentecostal people, Charismatic people would start writing positive about Brother Branham, calling his name positive, turning people back to examine his ministry so they can emulate his faith - it's a wonderful thing.
But it is like a net being cast. He's using the Truth to call them out. And some will come fleeing to the Word - not to the Message world, the Message structure, the Message organization. But they will come fleeing to the Word.
And when they do, it's pretty close to being over according to what the prophet said. It's like the last gathering. And that's where we are. So this is an exciting time, but it's a fearful time.
And this is what's about to put the icing on the cake. This is what's about to do it.
You see, the Lord spoke here some years ago and He said, "All these revivals that everybody is so excited about at the time, they're going to dwindle because any revival that is not established in present Truth is going to dwindle." You can't keep propping it up. You can only prop it up for so long.
When I read the details of that I said, "This is serious. You just don't realize how serious that can be."
And it goes to prove to me so many things about that gentle dove of the Holy Ghost. I believe the Lord was really moving there for a season.
I believe there was a purpose for what God was doing there. And I always maintain that God was doing something.
This is not about the Word of God going over there to people who won't handle it properly. This is about the Word of God calling a remnant of people, a Bridal company, to stand for the Word of God.
And when I say that, I'm not talking about for pantyhose and long sleeves. I'm talking about who will take sides with Jesus Christ and their lives will produce the character of God. And we have been called as forerunners.
And don't we look silly in this house? A handful of people and mostly empty pews, but I didn't do the calling - He did.
And it is not out of God's character at all to choose a handful of people in an out-of-the-way place and bring them through the journeys that He has brought us through so that He can use them and manifest Himself through them.
It is absolutely in the character of God. It fits the historical pattern of the Scripture for God to manifest Himself this way. This is exactly how God does business.
We're not standing here tonight to debate about a prophet who gives a prophecy that doesn't come to pass.
This Scripture is not talking about a prophet who gives a prediction or a prophecy or calls down a sign and it doesn't happen - the prophecy doesn't happen, the sign doesn't happen, the wonder doesn't mature.
That's not what this Scripture said. What this Scripture said is, "There's going to be prophets who will work signs and wonders."
You know what I have found in all my years of serving the Lord? These are the hardest times, these kinds of messages. And I'll tell you why.
These are balancing sermons, and they're hard. These are the kind of messages that God sends to snap you out of your honeymoon and lets you, you know, kind of float right back down in your pew into reality and realize that people are not about to embrace what you and I embraced by the millions.
This is that balancing message. You can say a lot of things about me. You can say that I've gone on many tangents if that's what you want to call them.
I've gone in many directions in the years of ministering to you here. But if you'll be fair, you would have to say that God, only God . . .
I promise you, it is not me. Only God has been faithful every time to come among us and bring us back to a proper balance.
That is His mercy for me as a human being and for you as a body. That's His grace to me. When He sees us stretching, and so forth . . .
And I've had every temptation to jump in head first into all kinds of different directions, but God has been so faithful to me.
There have been times that I read all the negative and knew all the negative. And I said, "I don't hardly want to call a name. I don't hardly want to talk about that any more."
And I would get desperate before the Lord. And the Lord would say, "You've got to get your eyes . . ."
This is the litmus test. This is the test that God is sending our way. He's sending another test our way.
And He's going to see who of us are becoming spiritually mature. I didn't say "talk it." I guess my voice sounds like I'm angry, but I'm not. I'm just moved, you know.
He's going to see who among us have become spiritually mature. And you know what the test is?
I'll give you the test. I'll tell you the test. What . . .
What kind of thing is this that a Word would come and say, "You're going to be tested," and then somebody turn around and give you the questions.
It's almost like cheating. But that's what happens when you flow in the prophetic. God helps you. He tests you and then tells you how He's going to test you.
I preached this in Jerusalem.
The test of spiritual maturity in this hour is going to be to see who is going to cling to man, and who is going to cling to Jesus, Yeshua, the Living Word of God." That is the test.
And if I asked you tonight, what would you tell me?
"I'm clinging to Jesus. I'm in love with Jesus. I'm looking to Jesus. He is my all in all."
That would be everybody's testimony in this place. But it wouldn't be everybody's reality. It would only be everybody's testimony.
God is going to put us to the test to see what is our testimony and what is our reality.
And praise God, there are going to be some of us who are going to come out with the same reality that we have testified about.
If you want to look back, you will recognize that this is why some of us have faced the things in this ministry that we have faced over the years.
Because God has shaken us, and shaken us, and shaken us because He wants you to have confidence in your pastor, He wants you to love me, He wants you to believe in me, He wants you to pray for me, but He wants you in love with Him.
You've got to listen to those that God sends as teachers and instructors. You've got to honor those. In doing so, you will be blessed.
You and I have a good relationship one with another. I'm here to help you. You are here to help me. But I am not where your affection needs to be set.
You've got to set your affection higher. God doesn't want you fixating on your pastor. He doesn't want you fixating on Brother Branham. He doesn't want you fixating on any other man of God that is currently being used with a Word from heaven around the world. He wants your focus to be on Him.
In every generation, this is where people have missed the mark. In every generation, this is the test that people of God have failed.
They have not been able to separate the flesh of a man from the reality of his God. And this is where we have to be.
Hear me tonight. This is where we have to be.
We've got to be able to separate the humanity of a man, the flesh of a man, the calling of a man, even, and the reality of his God.
A whole generation failed. I preached this Sunday, it was a week ago. A whole generation failed to see the promise because they provoked their leader.
And in anger he missed God. And he wasn't the only one that paid. A whole generation missed it. A whole generation failed to inherit the Promised Land.
If you think that's the only example, I want to take you back . . . As I already preached to you a couple of weeks ago. I want to take you back to the past generation and I want to tell you the very same thing happened.
I want my spirit and my character and my love and the grace of God in my life and the rest of the Sabbath that He has placed in my heart to be the first thing that screams out of my life. I want the Holy Ghost . . .
"Do you believe in holiness?" I believe in holiness.
Do you remember what the Lord said here not too, too many months ago?
He said, "I'm going to bring all kinds of people among you. Some are going to have this background, some are going to have that background, some are going to have no background, but you're going to love them. You're just going to love them."
And you know what? We do pretty good on the surface. But God's going to take this thing deeper than the surface. We do pretty good on the surface.
I have to admit, we're rather tolerant. We embrace people on the surface level. We welcome people in on the surface level. But God is . . .
I'm afraid we're going to be tested deeper than the surface. Because if you kiss up (that's not the best term) . . . but if you kiss on somebody to their face and you run them down behind their back, you're not very tolerant and you don't really have the grace of God. God's going to test us.
Do you ever see a day where we would want to be like them? Never. Not in the coldest day in hell do I want to be married to a woman that wears a pair of pants.
I have no desire for anything like that. I don't want anybody else to see her bottom. And I have never seen a modest pair of britches, whether they were made for women or men - I mean, whether you want to call them a man's garment or a woman's garment.
They say, "Well, these are made for women." Well, if they're made for women, they seem like they could make them fit a woman. And all they do is round the bottom, because a woman's bottom is round. And they just round the hip part of the bottom so it can hug 'em. That's not modest.
Do you see a time where you would think it would be all right for women to cut their hair? I can't imagine it. For me, it's clear in the Scripture that it should be a covering. It's a testimony. It's a sign. Makeup and jewelry? I can't see it.
It's not about changing the way you do things in the way you dress. It's about changing your attitude and your spirit, letting God do what God wants to do. It's God's choosing and God's election, and so forth.
The message that I have . . . And I have to close. It's extremely late. I've got a little off track.
But the message that I'm going to bring tonight and tomorrow is a balancing message. I love what God's doing out there. I love "samech vav." I love all of that.
I love what I've heard these men of God have and see. I like the experience that Randy Demaine had. I like the experiences that Bob Jones is having. I like the experiences that Paul Keith Davis has had. I like a lot of the things I've heard from this one, and that one, and the other one. I love that.
We're not even talking tonight about a prophet who prophesied something that doesn't come to pass. What we're talking about is if a prophet comes with a prophecy that does come to pass, but his message doesn't line up with the Word, what are you to do?
In the Old Testament, what were you to do? Report him to the elders and have him killed. Why do you think this is important, God's emphasizing this?
God wants you to know the importance of a man's message and not just the gifts that are in his life. He wants you to be able to appreciate the gifts, but he wants you to guard yourself.
Thank God, He doesn't want us to kill 'em. We're living in an hour of grace. I'm telling you, a lot of us would done be dead because . . .
These are men who have the signs and wonders in their ministry, who have visions and dreams. And the visions and dreams are coming to pass.
And I hear some of these people, even, assuming that these signs and wonders are confirmations that all is well, and all is right, and everything is fixed up with God.
But I heard Mike Bickle say . . . Mike Bickle was a young man during the outpouring of the Kansas City prophets. But he's an older and wiser man now.
I read his first book in the early 90's, "Passion for Jesus," or "Passion for (something)." And in 1996, I read his book called "Growing in the Prophetic."
I just re-skimmed it this week, and it's a complete different book to me now, because on every other page he mentions Bob Jones, and on every other page he mentions Paul Cain . . .
And I've got a clearer picture of what was going on in that hour. And I understand it a little more.
And you know what he said in that book? It ought to be re-published, reprinted and hung up in big letters.
He said, "There are several mistakes that are being made even today in the embryonics, in the early stages, of what we know as the restoration of the prophetic movement.
And he said, "One of those things is we're taking signs and wonders and an anointing and we're saying by that that God is pleased with a man's life, that God is pleased with his ministry and that God is pleased with his doctrine."
And he said, "This is not how we judge prophetic things. A man can have an anointing, he can have gifts, he can have visions and dreams that come to pass and his life still not be in line with Kingdom principles and Biblical precedence."
Do you believe that? You want a message? Do you want to hear the prophet's message on it? What is it called? "Anointed Ones at the Endtime."
The anointing can be from God, the gift can be from God, the unction and inspiration can be from God, but the man's life . . .
And if you've read enough of history, you would find out that this prophetic life is not something really . . . especially the office of an apostle or the office of a prophet . . . is not something to be desired because these men who have evidently . . . it's just kind of evident that those who have walked in this kind of office have paid the most extreme prices - tempted and tried and tested on every level, on every layer of humanity.
And I know that's right. I didn't just get it out of my head. I've read that they . . .
Paul Cain is probably a man who has had the most powerful prophetic gift in his life, other than William Branham, in the last one hundred years.
He is the only man alive that I know of that has consistently and faithfully called people out, other than Brother Branham, giving them their first name, their last name and their address.
Brother Branham saw such a gift in Paul Cain and loved him. He called him "Pauli." And he loved him. And he even sent him . . .
I don't remember where. Will somebody find out where and tell me. There was a trip that Brother Branham couldn't make, and he called Paul Cain and sent him there. That's big. With the kind of ministry that Brother Branham had, that's big.
Paul Cain . . . I need about ten or fifteen more minutes.
Paul Cain had many supernatural signs surrounding his birth like Brother Branham - words of prophecy and inspiration . . . who came to his mother and told her . . . Also John Kilpatrick had some similar things.
And even, you know, in a smaller, smaller, smaller scale, there was a Word given while I was still in my mother's belly about my life and ministry and my commission.
And it was even so clear that it was said that I would be like Agabus, that I would have that office that Agabus had.
And Paul Cain's mother was a spiritual woman who had gifts in her life.
How many days was it, Stacey, that he ministered without stopping? Do you remember? Was it close to a week or . . . It was longer than a week that he ministered twenty-four hours a day.
And he took a break to go get a sandwich or some drink and would go back out. And people would just keep filling the building.
You know Brother Branham had this kind of experience. Maria Woodworth-Etter had this kind of experience. People would just . . . New crowds would come and go.
I mean, that's a revival center. Crowds would just come and go. And he would go in and out of the meeting, but never go home consistently.
And an older man came to him and said, "Paul, you can't do this. You can't do this like this. This can't be done." And he said, "It can't? It can't be done?"
He said, "No, you'll kill yourself. This can't be done."
And Paul Cain said, "I listened to him. And I should have never listened to him because I told him, 'Okay, I'll go home and take a break and I'll come back some hours later.'"
And on the way home, he fell asleep at the wheel and was in a car accident and was nearly killed.
And he said, "That was God showing me that if God said I could, I had no business listening to man telling me I couldn't, because it was a . . ."
Normally you couldn't. Under normal circumstances a man couldn't do that, but under supernatural circumstances a man can do anything. See?
He listened to that and was in a terrible car accident and almost lost his life.
And whose fault was it that Moses . . .? Who provoked God by provoking Moses and cut his life and ministry short? The people.
The same thing happened to Brother Branham. I didn't know it, really. I've thought it, but I didn't really realize it.
He said, "He told me one day, 'Pauli, the Lord's going to take me home.'" And he said, "Do you know why?" He said, "The people won't quit calling me Elijah."
Somebody said, "I don't believe that happened." I do. And your opinion and my opinion is just that - opinions. But in my opinion, it happened.
I believe that's exactly what Brother Branham said. Because I know that he was diabolically opposed to that kind of idea.
He did not believe that he was Elijah. Because it was not Elijah, but the spirit of Elijah, that needed to visit the earth.
And that's how this whole thing started. I wanted to tell you this, but remind me to get back to Paul Cain before I close.
How many of you know who Alexander Dowie was? Lived in the late 1800's, early 1900's. He founded Zion City, Illinois, as a Christian city.
He studied under A. B. Simpson. He was determined to restore apostolic Christianity to the world.
His tabernacle in Zion City was filled to capacity with wheel chairs and crutches and walkers and braces. Hundreds and thousands of people were healed in Alexander Dowie's ministry.
I've heard his voice. Amazingly, it was recorded on a scratchy old wire recording of some kind. And I've heard his voice. He was a powerful man of God. But something happened.
Paul Keith Davis has been to Zion City, Illinois, and he's been in his study. And he's read, with permission, some of his private documents.
And he said, "I read with my own eyes in Alexander Dowie's journal . . . he wrote about two men that came to visit him one day with a revelation."
Anybody interested in this story?
And their revelation was, "You, Brother Dowie, are the Elijah to restore all things."
And in his journal, he recorded that he quickly rebuked them and sent them on their way. He corrected them. He rebuked them. And he dismissed them.
But in his journal, he wrote that it was a hook - (Is that the word he used? A hook, I think.) - a hook that tormented his soul every day after that.
He didn't believe it. He rejected it. But, oh, what a seed of destiny - ill destiny.
What a wicked seed could be planted to bring down the mighty man of God because of somebody's ignorant, somewhere down-the-line self-serving revelation.
He rejected it and refused it. But it was a hook in his heart until the day came that he declared himself publicly as Elijah, the restorer.
We have a lot to be thankful for. You wouldn't be where you are tonight, believing what you believe tonight, if Brother Branham hadn't have been the character of a man, didn't have the character and was not the kind of man that he was, because the very same thing happened to him on a weekly basis.
And where Alexander Dowie let it be a hook in him that tormented . . . It makes me weep. I could weep for him - like a Moses, a people . . .
It tormented him until he came to that place . . . And do you know what he's remembered for? Not those thousands . . . (I've seen the pictures) . . . thousands of crutches strung up across the auditorium, down the walls, people getting out of wheelchairs in the early 1900's.
He's not remembered for that. He's not remembered as being the first man who founded a Christian city with a Christian post office, and a Christian newspaper, and a Christian bank.
He's remembered as the man who declared himself Elijah, the restorer.
And that is wicked to me. It's wrong that that's the only heritage that he's left behind. That's what wicked men have still done today. That's all they've ever remembered about him. How tragic.
And we're blessed because the same thing could have happened to Brother Branham. But instead, he refused and left the scene until that thing got a little bit under control, and came back because of the way people were doing.
And you've heard him say, "I had rather quit. I had rather face God as a quitter than to face Him as an anti-Christ, another Christ."
And that's what people were trying to do. And they failed their spiritual test. A lot of people are in love with religion.
A lot of people are in love with church. A lot of people are in love with a concept or a ministry, but a very few people are in love with Christ, the Living Word.
Here's Paul Cain. Can you imagine? Twenty-four hours a day, day in, day out, ministering, calling people by name.
For twenty-five years, just like . . . For twenty-five years, he was off the scene. Nobody hardly knew where he was. He's known today as one of the only survivors of that great Pentecostal revival.
He's nearly eighty years old. He was a young man. His ministry started early so therefore he is still alive today, having lived during that time as a young man. He started preaching early. And he . . . I tell you, I have a tape that the Graingers gave me years ago, because they knew that he had had a powerful ministry, where Satan came to him in a suit and tie, appeared to him in his office and offered him some things.
And he didn't recognize immediately that it was Satan. But somehow he was able to recognize . . .
This was big - a contract and money involved. And God let him . . .
It reminds me of the angel of light that appeared to one of these great, early church fathers . . . (Martin, was it?) . . . and said, "I'm Jesus. Worship me."
And Satan appeared - had a name even. The man told him his name and everything. And Paul Cain overcame that.
He testified in those early years that God had called him to celibacy because of the type of ministry that he had been given.
I have a real problem with that kind of a call. I do. I have a real problem. A man had better know.
He had better know that he is every day of his life called to celibacy if he's going to claim that. Because if not, he's going to end up like the priest of the Catholic church finding his pleasures, cheap pleasures, somewhere else.
And after all these years . . . Twenty-five years went by. Paul Cain was unheard of. And he emerged in Kansas City as one of the Kansas City prophets.
He had the most outstanding accuracy. Many people said . . . not Message followers, of course. They could never stretch themselves that far.
But many people said, "It's like having William Branham. Really, it's like seeing Brother Branham's gift again," he was so accurate.
But last year, I became aware that Paul Cain had fallen - almost eighty years old.
Something that had tormented him, that had followed him all of his life, he had whipped it. He had overcome the temptation for alcohol and sexual gratification.
And he was confronted. He originally denied, and then he confessed.
And I read . . . As soon as I heard it, I read on his web page where he said, "I am guilty."
He said in Charisma Magazine . . . (I still have the copy) . . . "I am guilty of everything. I am guilty as charged. But I know that I'm guilty, and I've repented. And I know I've got to have help."
Well, three of the major prophetic people . . . they prescribed a plan of redemption for him, and he didn't buy it. But he did submit himself to some leadership, some accountability. And that's between . . . the rest is between him and the Lord.
But in Charisma, this month, there is another article about him and a little bit about this story. How tragic.
And you know what he'll be remembered for? Not the thousands of people that were healed or saved or delivered.
And is he wrong? Bitterly wrong. Sickening wrong. Sinfully wrong. But I'm going to tell you something that you won't like to hear.
Is he responsible for what he did? Absolutely, one hundred percent. Is he accountable for what he did? One hundred percent before God.
But he wouldn't have been in that condition, wouldn't have been in that place, if he hadn't have allowed people to put him in this nearly infallible position.
You'll hear Brother Branham teach this principle that when a man is set up, he sets himself up for a fall.
When you allow people to place you in that arena of infallibility, almost, you set yourself up for a great temptation.
And one of two things has to happen. Your flesh either has to become weakened and you fall into that trap, or God somehow causes you to overcome.
We are so blessed. We had a man of God in this generation who died with integrity. The end of his life was glorious.
And the dirty, rotten low-down storytellers are having to change their stories. And historians are having to be more accurate.
And I've lived long enough now to see his name held in high regard in many circles. I'm able now to pick up a book in my own library where somebody says, "The greatest prophet and prophetic gift that the world has ever known since the day of the Apostles was in the life and ministry of William Branham."
That's the hour we've come to. God has big things in store. Why do you think . . . in closing. I'll finish this tomorrow.
Musicians, you'd better come.
Why do you think that God would allow me . . .?
I do thank you for your attention.
Why do you think God would allow me to sit down in an experience and speak to the Church Ages, the messengers of the Seven Church Ages of history?
And why do you think that the last one, Brother Branham, would say to me with his hand on my knee, "There is something I want to tell you. THUS SAITH THE LORD is about to come in."
Why do you think that would be so important? I'll tell you why - because of this Scripture.
Because there's many prophets out there, and their prophecies are coming to pass. And there's many dreamers out there, and their dreams are coming to pass.
And there are many men out there on the forefront with signs and wonders - oil again, like we had in the A. A. Allen revival, oil flowing from their hands, and diamonds falling out of the ceiling, and gold dust and silver dust, and rainbow dust, and feathers, angels' feathers, and all kinds of things.
Really, I saw it with my own eyes. This young preacher . . . He's e-mailed me before. This young preacher was standing there and his shoes were puddled with oil that had flowed out of his hands and puddled down on his shoes. Signs and wonders are taking place.
"Are you saying that the devil's doing it?" I'm not - on the contrary. I'll say it's like the gold dust that flowed in our services for a season of time.
And I went to the Lord and I said, "A lot of people are being confused." Oh, I was getting all kinds of flak. "A lot of people are being confused."
"I believe this is from You. I believe You're doing it. I don't see any other way it could be coming. But if it's going to serve more to confuse people and hinder the ministry that You've called us to, I ask You to take it away and never . . ."
And I used to say, "I've never seen it again." But I have seen it again on a few occasions since then, but quickly dusted it away and made no to-do over it.
But now it's . . . I saw jewels laying on somebody's Bible that had fallen in a service. And I saw a document where they had taken it to a jeweler.
And the jeweler says, "I have no idea what it is. I want to say it's a precious jewel, but I've never seen such a perfect stone. I've never seen anything cut this perfect, and I've never seen anything of such a perfect substance.
"It looks like a diamond. But it does not qualify as a diamond."
"Are you saying that the Lord is not doing that?"
He probably is. But what I'm saying is if a dreamer dreams a dream, if a prophet gives a prophecy and it comes to pass, and yet he's telling you, "God is doing this, and we want to go out here and follow other gods, we want to walk in a different way than what we've been walking in, we want to do things in a different way than what the Bible tells us to do them," then this man should be stoned.
I'll finish this tomorrow. I want to call this message, "When Prophets Misdiagnose." I preached it in Jerusalem.
It's a serious thing for prophets to misdiagnose a case. But that's not even what this Scripture is talking about. This Scripture is talking about a man who has signs and wonders, but his message is pulling people in another direction.
Do you remember a Word the Lord gave me sitting there some months ago that the muddy waters of the prophetic were about to be made clear, that a true Word of God was coming from the Throne that was going to push all the muddy waters out of the clear stream, that prophecy was going to come that would challenge the prophetic world?
Well, that's exactly what was spoken to me in this night revelation where Brother Branham said, "THUS SAITH THE LORD is about to come in."
I said, "All other voices are going to be silenced."
Somebody said, "What's the difference? What's the difference going to be?"
"What? What's the difference going to be?"
And I'll read these again tomorrow probably because this is the candy. But I want to leave you with a little candy tonight.
In a message called "The Spoken Word is the Original Seed," Brother Branham said, "Notice, what harmony. Jesus never did anything until seen of the Father or the Father showed him first: (Harmony between God and Christ. See? John 5:19) "So will the Bride . . ."
Is that what I was preaching to you Tuesday night?
"So will the Bride . . ."
Didn't I say here by the Spirit of God, "The same relationship that Messiah had with His Father, the Son of God had with His Father, that's the relationship that the Bride is called to have with Jesus?" Here it is in the Message of the Hour.
"So will the Bride, and He shows Her His Word of Life . . ." Anybody listening? He shows her His Word of Life.
"(He shows Her)," he says, "and She receives It. She never doubts It."
(It's 9:10. That's late, but not too late for me to say this.)
Is there anybody here you sometimes doubt the Word of God? You sometimes just wonder how could it be? Hold up your hand if you've ever doubted? Maybe not the whole . . .
Did anybody raise their hand? Was I the only one? You may not have doubted it all, but at some point in your life you've come across something, you'd say, "How could that have been?"
You hear a lot about this "Da Vinci Code" where they're made a movie where Jesus was not Deity, and He married Mary Magdalene and He had children with her. And we know that Catholic Church is corrupt and foolish, and the whole purpose of the movie . . .
I haven't seen it. I didn't read the book. I just read lots of commentaries on it. But the whole purpose of the book was to prove how corrupt the church was. And Da Vinci was in on the secret. And he painted a woman in "The Last Supper," the famous "Last Supper" by Da Vinci, Leonardo Da Vinci.
One of the characters is a woman. And he says it's Mary Magdalene. Brown says it. And that's how the whole movie goes. It's a whole cover up.
And people have died and lost their lives and murdered one another to keep this a secret so people wouldn't know that Jesus wasn't Deity, and that He was really married, and that His children, His descendants, are alive in the earth today.
And Hollywood is crazy, the whole big thing. You know, have you seen it in the newspaper and hear it on the radio?
It's all over everywhere because this was the opening weekend, I guess, maybe. It was at the Cannes film festival and all this big stuff. Some people got up and walked out.
It is what it is. It's a work of fiction. This is fiction. "The Last Temptation of Christ," I read the book. I protested against the movie.
It was viler than that. It showed a perverted relationship between Jesus and His disciples. It went all over the world. It was made into a movie.
I don't have the energy to protest against the "Da Vinci Code" - could care less. I could care less.
Somebody said, "Don't you feel like you want to get out there and protect the Lord Jesus?" That's what I've been doing now for almost thirty-six years, preaching His Word as faithful as I know how.
That's doing a whole lot more for Him than get out there fighting a movie that's a figment of somebody's imagination.
But surely you've wondered. When we were in Israel, some scientist had released a study that said he believes that what Jesus was actually walking on were thin layers of ice. And he scientifically proved that under certain meteorological conditions sheets of thin ice could have formed on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. And Jesus was really walking on the ice.
And now National Geographic, one of the most reputable historic groups of historians and researchers in the world, have released the information about an ancient document . . . By the way, it was written at least three hundred years after Judas committed suicide. So how Judas wrote it?
You tell me how Judas wrote something three hundred years after he lived and then I'll you it's authentic.
But they've got a document that is truly old. It really is old. Right about three hundred or so years after Judas died, this document dates back to. It's called "The Epistle of Judas" or something like that.
National Geographic has wrote a big study. They put out a big film about it, released it. You can actually go see the copy of the document where Judas was asked by Jesus to betray Him, and that they were buddies in it.
And Jesus asked Judas to do it, and Judas had agreed. And Judas was the scapegoat because somebody had to do the dirty work. And He and Jesus had entered into an agreement.
Well, do you know what? I don't care. I don't even care if it's true. I don't think it's true, but I don't care if it's true.
Because you know what my Bible said? He did turn to him and say, "That that doest, do quickly." So He did go tell him to do it.
But this document makes it sound like He plotted and planned, "Go see Mr. So-and-so, and you know, take two steps to the right" - Jesus orchestrated the whole thing to make Himself look big.
There's no way in the world that anybody in this building couldn't say that somewhere down through the years there has been a little bit of doubt about something.
You wonder, "Well, how could that have been?" or in the future, or even with Brother Branham, or even some of my experiences, or what the Bride's going to do.
We can hardly say that we haven't experienced some form of doubt.
But here is what he said. "He shows Her His Word of Life . . . and She receives it. (And) She never doubts it. Nothing can harm Her, not even death; for if the Seed be planted, the water will raise it up again. Amen."
"(Now, I got a great big 'Hallelujah,')" he said. "Here is the secret . . ."
Tuesday night I preached about what the Message was from "The Token." Now I'm going to preach about what the secret is.
"Here is the secret: the Word is in the Bride . . ."
Rest. Rest. Stop letting the devil disturb your Shabbat. Rest. ". . . the Word is in the Bride and the mind of Christ to know what He wants done with the Word . . ."
Not only is the Word of God in the Bride, but the wisdom, the knowledge, to know what to do with the Word is in the Bride.
Ooh. ". . . and She does it in His Name. And then he said, "She has THUS SAITH THE LORD."
What did I tell you? I may be a liar. I may be a phony. I may be a fraud. What did I tell you that Brother Branham said to me in this night vision? He said to me, "THUS SAITH THE LORD is about to come in."
He said, "She has THUS SAITH THE LORD. Then it is germitized; so the Holy Spirit waters it until it is grown and serves its purpose. They do only His will."
You worried about what God's going to make you do? It will be His will. It will be His will. You're only going to do His will.
Relax. Rest.
"No one can persuade them different."
Don't tell me, "Come over here. Come over there. Go over yonder."
"No one can persuade them different."
And this is the most powerful quote in the Message. Listen. It's so powerful. "They have THUS SAITH THE LORD, or they keep still."
Only one thing can disturb your rest - THUS SAITH THE LORD. When THUS SAITH THE LORD comes, you're ready to get up and do whatever God tells you to do.
But until you have THUS SAITH THE LORD, you just do what you know to do and the rest you leave in His hands.
That's powerful. You don't get it. But that's so powerful. This is the difference between the Bride and the modern day prophetic movement - "Oh, I've got to prophesy."
People walk up to one another, "Do you have a Word for me? Do you have a Word from the Lord for me?"
Hogwash. Peanut butter and jelly. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. "Do you have a Word from the Lord for me?"
Well, isn't that why you want to go down there and meet with Bob Jones? Absolutely not. If God has a Word for me and He wants Bob Jones to be the one to deliver it, He'll give it to me.
If He doesn't, I've had enough from the Lord, I'm going to go on anyway. I'm not looking for another Word from the Lord.
I've come way beyond needing another prophecy to confirm to me my calling and what God wants me to do.
I don't need another prophecy. I don't need another man to vindicate my commission any more. All of that is over. I'm resting in what God has already revealed. If He chooses to do that, it will be His sovereign will.
There is a Bride about to step on the scene who will not move unless she has "THUS SAITH THE LORD." She won't open her mouth unless she has "THUS SAITH THE LORD." She won't go or be still either. She won't do anything unless she has THUS SAITH THE LORD."
Don't you see why it was so, so important and so powerful that Brother Branham would say to me, "THUS SAITH THE LORD is about to come in."
I got these the next day. I got these quotes the next morning. I didn't realize the significance.
"Then they will do the works of God." Then they will do the works of God.
When are they going to do the works of God? When they have THUS SAITH THE LORD.
"Then they will do the works of God. For it is Himself in them, continuing His Word to fulfill as He did complete in His day. All things when He was here--He did not complete all when He was here, for it was not time yet."
Did you hear that? Jesus didn't finish His ministry when He was on the earth. And so therefore, it's going to be finished in the Last Days. Did you just hear that? Did you just hear that.
He just said Jesus didn't finish . . . He said, "They will do the works of God. For it is Himself in them, continuing His Word to fulfill as He did complete in His day. All things when He was here--He did not complete all when He was here, for it was not time yet."
There is to be a continuation of the ministry of Jesus Christ in the Last Days.
And it will not be because of His bodily resurrection, or the bodily resurrection of any prophet, sage or priest. It will be because God has raised up a little people and placed "THUS SAITH THE LORD" in them.
'63. "God is uniting His Bride. She's coming together from the east and the west, from the north and south. There's a uniting time, and that's on right now."
Who cares? I don't have time. Somebody wants to ask me about a watchband. Somebody wanted me to tell them, "Does the watchband have to be black leather?"
Why don't you get one encrusted in diamonds? That's what I'd do if I were you. I'd get the most expensive, gaudy, flashy thing you can find and wear it all over town, because if that's in your heart, that's exactly what you're going to do. Don't bother me.
Somebody e-mailed me recently and said, "People are still asking me questions about when Communion is supposed to be served."
We are too late in the hour. I don't mean no harm.
"You mean we can't have a question? You mean people shouldn't have a question in their heart? You mean it's wrong to wonder about these things?"
Yes, because it testifies about where your mind is. You need to get your head out of those things and get your head at the Throne.
The Holy Ghost . . . If you've got enough of the Holy Ghost in you, surely you'll know that you're not going to be gaudy and spend thousands of dollars on a flashy watchband.
But it really doesn't matter whether it's silver-painted tin or whether it's black leather. You think God . . .
Do you honestly think that God is going to lose an ounce of sleep? Oh, laugh, laugh. This is the life we've lived. Laugh at it.
This is where people's minds are. That's what's wrong with people in this Message. That's where their minds are. They've either got it in the past, or they've got in the tent, in the future. They're missing this part.
Because how could we have "THUS SAITH THE LORD" unless Brother Branham comes back? Well, how could Jesus finish His ministry unless he bodily resurrected and come back, too? Wrong.
The Bride's going to finish the ministry.
I'm still reading. We can . . . maybe we don't even have to have a service in the morning.
"God is uniting His Bride. She's coming together from the east and the west, from the north and south. There's a uniting time, and that's on right now. What's She uniting for? The rapture! Amen. God's getting her ready. Yes, sir, uniting, what's She uniting with?"
Any guesses?
"With the Word," he said. "For all heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word shall never pass away."
Do you want to hear what else she's uniting herself with?
"She's uniting Herself with THUS SAITH THE LORD . . ."
You better know what THUS SAITH THE LORD is or you'll be joining yourself to something that's not. You better know the difference THUS SAITH THE LORD and every other voice that's out there, or you'll be joining yourself to the wrong thing.
"Ooh, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what you do."
Yes, it must. It matters what you join yourself to. It matters what you unite with. "She's uniting Herself. She's getting ready. Why? She's the Bride. That's right. And she's united Herself with her Bridegroom (See?), and the Bridegroom is the Word."
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us."
Now in the "Church Age to Pergamos" he said, "Notice the harmony of the Father and the Son."
Are you so tired that you can't get this? I'm going to read it anyway. You can get the tape.
"Notice the harmony of the Father and the Son. Jesus never did anything until it was first showed Him by the Father. John 5:19. This harmony is now to exist between the Groom and His bride. He shows her His Word of life. She receives it. She never doubts it."
This is the condensed version in "The Church Age Book" of what was said in "The Spoken Word is the Original Seed." Didn't all come from "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" series.
"She never doubts it. Therefore, nothing can harm her, not even death. For if the seed be planted, the water will raise it up again. Here is the secret of this. The Word is in the bride (as it was in Mary).
"The bride has the mind of Christ for she knows what He wants done with the Word. She performs the command of the Word in His name for she has 'thus saith the Lord.'
"Then the Word is quickened by the Spirit and it comes to pass. Like a seed that is planted and watered, it comes to full harvest, serving its purpose."
Then he said,
"Those in the bride do only His will. No one can make them do otherwise. They have 'thus saith the Lord' or they keep still. They know that it has to be God in them doing the works, fulfilling His own Word. He did not complete all His work while in His earthly ministry so now He works in and through the bride.
"She knows that, for it was not yet time for Him to do certain things that He must now do. But He will now fulfill through the bride that work which He left for this specific time."
Let's stand.
Hallelujah. I thought maybe you would start praising the Lord without being told. I thought maybe you'd just lift your hand and start praising the Lord without being told to praise Him, without being coached.
Somebody just praise Him because you can. Praise Him because you have strength and health to praise Him.
Praise Him because you've got a love affair going on with Him. Hallelujah.
Lord, we love You tonight. We see the importance. There is so much going on around us.
We see the importance not only of the dream and the dreamer, the prophet and his prophecy, but we see the importance of his message, and whether or not it lines up with the Word of God.
It's not just enough to have a prophecy or a dream confirmed by other prophets and other dreamers, but it has to be confirmed by the Word of God.
Oh Lord, we want THUS SAITH THE LORD. (Tongues) We want wisdom to keep still THUS SAITH THE LORD is released upon us. Hallelujah. (Tongues)
(Singing:) "Great is the Lord Almighty . . ."
We worship You, Lord. We love You. We praise You. We magnify Your Name. Oh, hallelujah.
Lord, we thank You for Your healing power. We thank You that by Your stripes we are made whole. We glorify You that You have healed our bodies. We thank You. We rejoice in You. We praise You that You have touched us, that You have healed us from our infirmities.
We thank You for healing in this house. We pray, Lord, for perfect and divine rest upon our bodies as we lay down tonight, peace that will go with us, that we'll be filled with great and heavy anticipation for these things that are among us, that they will grow, that they will increase, and that they will manifest in completeness, oh Lord, fulfilling Your Word and Your promise to us.
Thank You for the swinging of the pendulum. Thank You for the bringing in the balance of all things that must be in balance and in order for those things that You desire to release among us. We thank You that a foundation is being laid by the Spirit of God. We want to walk softly before You, standing on the foundation that You have laid for us by the Word, believing every promise, acting upon it, obeying, walking in it, hearing Your Voice.
All of the things that You have asked of Israel, You're asking of us - to walk before You, to keep Your Commandments, to obey You, to listen for Your Voice. And we desire to do that, oh God.
Thank You that You are our provider. You have all of our needs in Your heart. Release to us, oh God, everything that we have need of. Financially and spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, release it by the Holy Ghost upon our heads. We look up with faith and receive from Your hand.
BaShem Adonai Yeshua HaMashiach. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen and amen.
Believe God's Word. You can be healed. Any need that you would have come up here for, to be prayed for, to have a Word spoken, to have hands laid on you, believe God's Word as you leave here tonight and you can receive whatever it is that you have need of.
You can come in in the morning fulfilled, restored, completed, having received what you've had need of from the Lord. We're going to believe God to do that.
Bless you. You're dismissed to go tonight in the Name of the Lord believing the Word of God.
Let's be here at 11 o'clock, and let's come prepared.
Don't disturb my rest in the Spirit. I don't want to disturb your rest in the Spirit.
Let's come. I hope you understand the whole purpose of that was not about a phone call. It was spiritual. I just used the natural to get your attention. May you go tonight in peace. Hallelujah.
(Singing:) "Hallelujah, hallelujah."
